How to Save Recipes from Facebook

Whether it’s a Tasty-style video in your feed or a family recipe posted in a private Facebook group, finding it again later is nearly impossible.

Stop using the “Save Post” feature on Facebook that you’ll never look at again. Send it to Minichef instead.

How it works

Minichef can parse public Facebook video links and posts to extract the recipe details.

1. On a Facebook video, Reel, or post, tap the Share button.
2. Tap More Options (if Minichef isn’t immediately visible).
3. Select Minichef.
4. The recipe is drafted and ready to save.

Troubleshooting

“It couldn’t import from a private group.” If a recipe is in a private Facebook group, Minichef’s servers can’t access that link to read it.

The Fix: Take a screenshot of the post or the recipe in the comments, and use Minichef’s Image Import instead!
