How to Save Recipes from Reddit
Turn chaotic Reddit comments from r/Cooking or r/recipes into perfectly organized instructions with Minichef.
Reddit has some of the best, most authentic recipes on the internet (shoutout to r/Old_Recipes). The problem? They are usually formatted as a massive, unreadable wall of text in a long comment thread.
Minichef understands Reddit formatting and turns those walls of text into a usable recipe.
How it works
Share a Reddit post or a specific comment, and Minichef will organize it into ingredients and numbered steps.
- On the Reddit post containing the recipe, tap the Share icon. (Or use the three dots on a specific comment to share that comment).
- Choose Minichef from your share sheet.
- Watch as the chaotic wall of text becomes a structured recipe!
Troubleshooting
“It imported the wrong comment.” If a post has hundreds of comments, sharing the main post link might confuse the AI if the recipe is buried deep down. To fix this, tap the three dots on the specific comment containing the recipe, and share that direct link instead.
“What if it’s a photo of food without a recipe?” Minichef needs text to work with. If someone just posted a picture of their dinner, we can’t magically guess the recipe (yet!).
